Will the Mad King kill survivors?
Do deaths from the Mad King's games add to your /deaths total? I started a new character in an attempt to get a max survivor title, and am nearing the second tier now. I wouldn't mind picking up a few holiday items and a festive hat along the way, but wouldn't want to end up loosing my progress to a bad game of paper, rock, scissors or something like that.

No, I don't think so. I don't think A.net would want to field the hundreds of complaints they'd get.
More likely the deaths are like the one in the Shing Jea tutorial - just a 'dummy' kill. |

i think since you would be in town when this happens and things are different in town the answer is no, but of course i know you would like an answer from anet itself, maybe someone that had a survivor during the dragon festival and got killed by the grawls can answer it too.
@Trickfred:I remember the nightfall tutorial, " there are also deaths that occur and these will weaken you , let me demostrate" *poof* dead. I was like WTF!? nothing hit me! |

I highly doubt it. Besides all the complaining as has already been mentioned, there's lots of "deaths" that don't actually count as such. Resigning doesn't count as a death, nor does your "death" if a key ally you were supposed to keep alive, dies. Forced deaths like at the end of Vizunah Square, don't count either.

while logic would dictate that it certainly *shouldn't*, I find this to be a perfect example of a detail that can be very easily overlooked (which, after numerous complaints, Gaile would somehow spin this to be something that was meant to be a feature, not an oversight). Personally if I had a Survivor character, I'd take the safe route.

Mad King's deaths didn't count last year. I know I checked it when he killed me the first time. For some reason. I really hate dying.
